One of the most common mistakes professionals make is lack of passion in their field. This usually is obvious when the professional has to create blogs for their business. Counselors, universities and colleges around the country encourage students to focus on their passion and make it into a career or business in their future.

This encouragement isn’t just to get students to rack up more loans and financial debt. It is necessary for the rest of their life and career. If you truly think about a career, you will realize how much you need to work to live. Without income you can’t eat healthy or have a home, car, vacation and other essential needs for a good life. Finding your passion is key to your success.

Begin by finding your passion, studying and either working in the field or creating your own business. You can even begin early by establishing yourself on your own blog. Whether you already started your business or you plan to soon, you will want to consider the following tips when working on your business platform and professional blog.

⦁ Always focus on your passion and write about it. For example, if your passion is surfing, learn everything you can about it so you can teach others via your blog.
⦁ Make your passion easy for readers to understand. You may be a highly educated rocket scientists but not everyone who is interested in your industry knows specific vocabulary. Use basic English when writing about your passion. A helpful tip is to write as if you are speaking to your best friend.
⦁ Gradually build up the length of your writing. We all have to start somewhere. Begin by writing about 140 words per day, then build it to 300 and more, until you reach a typical blog post length of 350 to 500 words.
⦁ Do your research. Write about current news relating to your passion. Search Google for updated information regarding your passion. You will be surprised how many new stories you will find. Keeping up to date on your passion will help you become a constant professional.

Be true to yourself and your passion. In the beginning you may not know your passion. One way to help guide you is to think back to when you were a child and someone asked you, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” Think of what your answer was and see if it is still your true passion. Begin there and continue searching until you find it.
