Businesses often begin with one platform and gradually add new ones over time. If your business has more than one department you may want to consider segmenting them, creating different entities, and partner with others to help expand your reach. This may sound complicated and overwhelming but it doesn’t have to be. I will use myself as an example. Please see below.
I purchased PlatformBuilder.com. Why? Because I build digital platforms for business people. I then decided to expand my current IT brand of 305COMPUTERS.COM, (Just dial computers for your IT needs) which is mainly a hardware/network consulting outfit, to a Technology based Social Media, Social Network, and Platform Building model. In a nutshell, the departments of my business have been carefully thought out and we’ve created individual brands for them.
To explain this in a little more detail I will share more information. The MiamiBusiness.com takes care of my Social Networking business, WelcomeToMiami.com takes care of my Advertising and Social Media side of my business and now, PlatformBuilder.com allows me to market myself accordingly to attract people needing help with their digital branding needs.
If your business is like mine and you have or plan to gradually expand it into departments, you can also format it the same way. In fact, it’s recommended. To do this you will want to carefully plan the different areas of your business. Segment them into different entities and be specific how each entity will benefit your business. You don’t want to make up anything just to create departments. These separate departments need to be beneficial to your business. Once you have this established you can begin to create domains as I stated above.
This might be a time consuming task or seem complicated for some business owners. But, you don’t have to worry. I’m highly experienced in this field and will assist you with establishing the different departments within your business. I will also assist you with setting up the domains.
It is highly important to establish valid and useful departments within your business. This takes careful thought and should be discussed thoroughly with all involved in the creation of the business. Consult with co-owners to create a department module and plan. Also focus on the domain names and suffixes you will prefer to use. Preparation is key to successfully creating entities within your company. I can guide you through the process and help you establish as many entities your business requires.
